Blasting and coating services have been conducted by Gardwell Coatings since 1957. Previously known as East Anglian Grit Blasting (EAGB) and one of the largest blasting companies in the UK, the company was established to service the oil and gas industry.

Following its purchase by the Gardline Group in 1983, the company continued to trade as EAGB concentrating on high volume steel fabrications for the construction industry. In 1994 the company name was changed to Gardwell Coatings Limited and although business remained focussed on blasting, a new powder coating facility was introduced to target new business markets.

In 2005, Gardwell Coatings was sold by the Gardline Group to a local family with a long history in the blasting and coating industry. This change in ownership has seen a rapid redevelopment in the business with the addition of a second facility. Today, Gardwell Coatings is a successful company and is a market leader in the provision of blasting and powder coating services.
